A Day at Joel's Place: How Would You Like to Spend Your Time with Us?

September 3, 2026Roni Mae Serrano

You might be wandering around Makati, looking for a place to eat, pick up some groceries, or just hang out with friends, when you come across Joel’s Place. Located right in the heart of Makati, with spots at Glorietta 4 and Proscenium in Rockwell, it looks like a place that feels easy to walk into.

The space looks cozy, with soft lighting, comfortable tables and chairs, and people casually chatting over good food. At first glance, it might seem like another Makati spot; what you may not expect is just how much good food, unique finds, and specialty products you can discover in one visit.

So, let's spend a day at Joel's Place?

7 a.m. is for breakfast and an energy boost

The day is just beginning, and you’re looking for that little boost to get you going. Before you work on your emails, errands, and everything else on your to-do list, why not start the day with a little pick-me-up

Joel's Place opens early, just in time for your first coffee run. Order a strong Iced Espresso or Hot Americano if you'll have a busy day, or keep it light with a Sweet Latte from The Barista. Pair your coffee with freshly baked breads that are not too heavy, but can power you through until lunch. If you're coming after a morning run or a workout, we suggest you get your healthy dose of Powershot Juice for a quick energy boost.

What to try for your morning boost: Ube Pandesal, Corned Beef Pandesal, Cheese Bread, Sweetened Cold Brew, and Sea Salt Celery and Cucumber Powershot Juice.

10 a.m. is for striking off your grocery list

The morning gets going for everyone, but if you’re on an errand to pick up a few things from your grocery list (or maybe discover new products worth trying out!), walk through the aisles of The Grocer and find the freshest fruits and vegetables for the salad you’ve been planning to make, jams and fruit preserves for the pica-pica board you'll prepare for friends this weekend, and a lot more specialty and gourmet products. If you're also planning to cook your next seafood dish, you can check The Fishmonger and discover a variety of seafood options, from freshwater and saltwater fish to crustaceans and shellfish.

Cap off the night with a drink that matches your mood. If you think the night's a little special, pick a bottle of wine from The Sommelier, or keep it wholesome with freshly blended shakes. But if you feel like giving your shake an extra kick, you can add a liquor shot to it: vodka, tequila, rum, gin, or whisky—the choice is entirely yours.
