Love took over the room as people gathered for an evening of celebration and indulgence at Joel's Place last February 14, 2024. In collaboration with Sunday Street Co. and Premium Wine Exchange, the Valentine's Day dinner event unfolded as a captivating four-course culinary journey, expertly paired with fine wine.
For starters, Joel's Place’s signature Assorted Breads and special dips like Beetroot Hummus, Herby Burrata Dip, and Smoked Fish Dip were served. They were perfectly complemented by glasses of Bodegas Piqueras White Label from Almansa, Spain, vintage 2022.
The night continued with the inviting aroma of Shrimp and Tomato Strangozzi—plates of confit cherry tomatoes, grilled ulang, and pangrattato. This entrée was served with a delightful glass of Clean Slate Riesling, Mosel Germany, 2021.
The meat entrée was an excellent Steak Frites, a ribeye steak accompanied by mushroom sauce, crispy fries, and fresh salad greens. It was complemented by the rich notes of Black Label Almansa, Spain, 2021, a wine that lingers on the palate.
With the evening reaching its sweet finale, the Passionfruit Pavlova dessert took center stage. It's a medley of tropical goodness made with passion fruit puree, ripe mango, whipped cream, and a drizzle of milk chocolate, harmoniously paired with the velvety Bodegas Patrocinio Gran Zinio from Rioja, Spain.
The Valentine's Day dinner left everyone full and filled with love—marked by the pleasant supper club atmosphere, exquisite food, and good company—staying true to our commitment to make a community that comes together to meet and experience a unique food journey.
