Welcome the new year with a little kindness to yourself. This new season is an invitation to breathe, reset, and be gentler with your body by nourishing it with good, clean, and healthy food. Don't feel pressured, though; switching to a healthy diet isn't something you can do overnight. Start small—as simple as changing your grains or adding more dark leafy greens to your diet is already a small step towards healthy eating.

At Joel’s Place, you can enjoy good food without the worries. Our chef-crafted grain bowls and salads are guaranteed healthy, delicious, and made from fresh ingredients to help you start building stronger food habits this new year.

Grains

Grains are an important source of nutrients. It provides the body with energy (in the form of carbohydrates), contains vitamins and minerals, and is a good source of fiber. Whole grains can also help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes, plus they aid in digestion. Wholesome grains like adlai and brown rice are made more delightful in these ready-to-eat bowls from Joel’s Place:

Salads

Leafy greens are among the healthiest foods you can incorporate into your diet. They are loaded in vitamin A, an essential for eye health and cell growth, vitamin C for immunity, and vitamin K for blood clotting and strong bones. They also contain minerals, fiber, and antioxidants for healthy cells, muscles, and gut.

Green leafy vegetables can be made even healthier by adding in your desired proteins like tuna, salmon, or grilled chicken. You can also mix crisp lettuce with dark leafy greens such as arugula or spinach, which have more antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients.
