May 15, 2025Denisse Audrey Tenorio

Oh hey, summertime! The sun’s bright out, sunscreens are in, and the fun poolside activities are in full swing. Tropical fruits are also at their best, so serve up these colorful (and super easy!) no-fuss fruit recipes to round up your summer fun!

Papaya Yogurt Bowl

There’s nothing quite like an easy, hearty treat to set the tone for a sunny, bright day ahead. Loaded with sweet and healthy toppings, our Papaya Yogurt Bowl has everything you need to jump-start a whole day filled with fun activities.

What we used: small papaya, yogurt (we recommend Bulla Greek Style Yogurt), crumbled cereal, nut butter (Mayvers Honey Peanut Butter Smooth is a good option), blueberries, and chocolate chips.

Here’s how to make it:

  • Slice a small papaya in half and de-seed.
  • Fill with yogurt and top with preferred toppings.

Tip: Use our toppings as a starting point and feel free to switch them up according to your preference: granola (you might want to try Pili & Pino Cranberry Nut Granola), cacao nibs, raspberries, nuts, seeds, grains, you name it!

Fruit Skewers

Second on the list is probably the easiest summer treat: fruit skewers. Whether you’re turning leftover fruits into something fun or you’re stacking all your favorites, these easy-to-make fruit skewers are perfect for snacking by the pool.

What we used: Muscat grapes, watermelon, golden kiwi, dragon fruit, and pineapple.

Here’s how to make it:

  • Pick out your favorite fruits in season and cut them into similar sizes.
  • Skewer fruits and serve chilled. Enjoy!

Best paired with: Joel’s Place Powershots in flavors like Orange, Turmeric, and Pineapple and Seasalt, Celery, and Cucumber.

Tip: No need to be all serious about cutting your fruits. You can use cookie cutters to make fun and cute fruit cuts!

Melon-Parm with Burrata

A quiet afternoon after enjoying pool activities calls for something sweet, salty, and a little bit indulgent. Perfect for lounging after a swim or a late afternoon cool down, a plate of Melon-Parm with Burrata is a rewarding summer fruit snack.

What we used: melon, prosciutto di parma (Levoni Prosciutto di San Daniele really goes well), cherry burrata (we used Naturasi), olive oil, salt (a finishing salt like Maldon is great), and freshly cracked pepper.

Here's how to make it:

  • Slice the melon into wedges.
  • Wrap melon with prosciutto di parma.
  • Serve with burrata on the side, drizzled with good-quality olive oil, salt, and freshly cracked pepper.

Tip: Make sure to dip your melon parm in the burrata to enjoy an oozingly creamy, sweet, and salty balance of flavors!

Best paired with: Free AF Paloma

Savor the natural sweetness and vibrant colors of summer (all without fuss) with our summer fruits available in-store. The sky’s the limit at Joel’s Place!
